Spring 2010 Neighborhood Cleanup Days
City of Decatur Public Works will host 11 cleanup days throughout April, May and June. Click on the PDF below to see which Saturday is your neighborhood's officially cleanup day. All items to be collected should be placed at the curb no later than 7:30 a.m. so that the pickup crews will not have to double back for late setouts.

Bring Google to Decatur
The City of Decatur is partnering with Dunwoody, Doraville, Chamblee and Avondale Estates as the Atlanta Urban Area Partnership to answer Google’s Fiber for Communities RFI. Become a fan on our Facebook page or nominate us on Google's site.
Pipeline Replacement
Atlanta Gas Light Resources Company is working in the City of Decatur over the next few months beginning March 22 to replace old metal gas mains as part of a 15-year project known as the Pipeline Replacement Program.

The Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) is re-issuing the City’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit for our Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) in accordance with the Federal Clean Water Act and the Georgia Water Quality Control Act.

AJC Decatur Book Festival to Host Jonathan Franzen
The festival kicks into full gear on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 4-5, and is expected to attract thousands of book lovers to Decatur. Diana Gabaldon, author of the award-winning No. 1 New York Times bestselling Outlander novels, will return after hosting standing-room only crowds in 2009. Other featured authors include Pulitzer Prize winner David Finkle, George Dawes Green, founder of The Moth, a not-for-profit storytelling organization, young adult author Cassandra Clare, adult and young adult author Ridley Pearson and New York Times bestseller Emily Giffin.
