How to Register for Programs at the Rec

There are two easy ways to register for programs at the Rec Department. Programs can be registered for online or in person.

To Register Online:

Register online Now: WebTrac

You must first have a household I.D. number. If you have registered for recreation programs since 2004 you already have an I.D. number which can also be used for online registration. To obtain your household I.D. number simply call the Rec at (404) 377-0494 or e-mail your name, address and phone number to WebTrachelp@decaturga.com. (Allow one to two business days for the city to process your request.)

WebTrac Registration:

Step 1: Click on the WebTrac link on this page

Step 2: Type in your household ID and password (last name)

Step 3: Click on "Shop" to register for a class or "My Account" to review and update your household information

If you don't have a number, now is the time to get one! Online forms will be available soon. Until then please come to the Decatur Recreation Center to establish a household and obtain your household I.D. number. You can use your household I.D. number to register for classes, view class availability, and print current and past household receipts. Once you successfully log in, you will have the option to change your password, if you want to. If you don't have a household I.D. number yet, you can enter as a guest to browse program offerings.

Once you sign up and have your number, you are ready for online registration, provided you also have a Visa or MasterCard, and a current version of Netscape Navigator (7.0 or higher) or Internet Explorer (6.0 or higher). These can be downloaded ahead of time or when you visit the online registration page.

 

For program cancellations or transfers, you MUST call the Rec at 404-377-0494.

To Register in Person:

Location: Decatur Recreation Center, 231 Sycamore St., Decatur GA 30030.

Office hours:
Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.- 8 p.m.
Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Saturday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Payment: Cash, credit card (Visa or MasterCard), money orders and checks made payable to Decatur Recreation and Community Services Dept. (DRCSD) are accepted. Exact change is required for cash payments submitted after 5 p.m. and on Saturdays.

Registration for Rec programs is accepted with full payment only. Program applications are taken on a first-come first-served basis. Spaces are limited. Registration is ongoing until program space is filled. Some programs fill immediately. Early registration is encouraged. Waiting lists will be formed when classes are filled and additional classes will be added whenever possible.

Payments and deposits for programs are nonrefundable and nontransferable unless the program is canceled by the Rec.

Financial assistance is available for Decatur residents who demonstrate a need.
