DeKalb County's David Fisher Receives Public Servant Award
 |
| DBA President Ann Berg, City Manager Peggy Merriss, David Fisher, Susan Bennett and Jeane Sansone (daughters of Thomas O. Davis), and Keith Barker of DeKalb County. |
David Fisher of DeKalb County Facilities Maintenance received the annual Thomas O. Davis Public Servant Award at the March DBA meeting at Eddie’s Attic. David has been a great partner to our city in many ways, going above and beyond to help out with events and other logistical issues. He exemplifies honesty, integrity and professionalism.
Decatur’s Thomas O. Davis Award honors a public employee who has helped strengthen the bond between government and the community, served as a role model for others in public service, contributed to the well being of the community, inspired others to get involved in public service, and served the public with respect. The award is named for Decatur’s long-time city attorney who began his career with Decatur at age 65 and served until his death at age 92.
