The following are important dates in the budget schedule for the City of Decatur's Fiscal Year 2005-06 budget process, subject to City Commission approval.

• May 16, 2005 – Formal Presentation of Budget to City Commission and Adoption of Tentative 2005 Millage Rate 
  
  
• June 6, 2005 – Public Hearing on Proposed FY 2005-06 Budget and Revised 2004-05 Budget and 2005 Millage Rate at 7:30 pm at Decatur City Hall
  
  
  
• June 13, 2005 – Public Hearing on Proposed FY 2005-06 Budget and Revised 2004-05 Budget and 2005 Millage Rate at 6:00 pm at Decatur City Hall
  
  
  
• June 20, 2005 – Public Hearing and Scheduled Adoption of Proposed FY 2005-06 Budget and Revised 2004-05 Budget and Adoption of Final 2005 Millage Rate at 7:30 pm at Decatur City Hall

Hard copies of the FY 2005-06 Proposed Budget and FY 2004-05 Revised Budget are available at Decatur City Hall and at the Decatur Library on Sycamore Street.
