• Please sign your new card immediately. Once signed, you become the only authorized user.
   
  
• Use your new card soon! After six months, the remaining balance is subject to a monthly maintenance fee.
   
  
• Use your Decatur Dollars gift card just like a credit card. No PIN is necessary.
   
  
• Please make note of the initial value indicated for your Decatur Dollars gift card. You will need to know the value if you want to check the balance. To check the balance visit www.myprepaidbalance.com, type in the card number (without spaces), the expiration date and the original value.
   
  
• If you wish to use your card for a purchase that exceeds the funds available, please tell the merchant to charge only the exact amount of funds available, then you can make up the difference with another form of payment.
   
  
• If you begin a purchase but change your mind after the merchant has an authorization, you will receive a credit within seven days.
   
  
• If you request your card's remaining balance in the form of a check, there is a $15 fee.
